JUFMF is committed to nurturing creativity across generations. The festival features Youth Performances that shine a spotlight on talented young artists—singers, dancers, musicians, spoken word performers, and student filmmakers.
Connecting rising performers with experienced creators who guide, support, and inspire their growth.

Every submission receives a 2-Day Festival Screening Pass, whether selected or not—because at JUFMF, participation matters and community comes first.
Join us as we celebrate excellence, innovation, and the limitless imagination of content creators worldwide.
The Red Carpet is not just an entrance—it’s a platform, a celebration, and a powerful tool to elevate careers.
The JUFMF Red Carpet Experience is where creators become stars. Filmmakers, cast members, musicians, and special guests walk the iconic Step-and-Repeat, pose for professional photography, and sit for engaging on-camera interviews that highlight their creative journey.
JUFMF 2026 hosts a dynamic series of Panel Discussions featuring filmmakers, producers, publishers, distributors, recording artists, and cultural innovators. These conversations reveal the real-world craft of storytelling—from concept to execution, sound to screen, and festival run to distribution.
Panels are designed for students, emerging creators, industry pros, and anyone who wants to navigate today’s entertainment landscape with clarity and confidence.
The prestigious JUFMF Hattie Awards is the centerpiece of festival week—an unforgettable red-carpet celebration honoring the highest achievements in film, music, and creative expression. Held at the legendary Ritz Theatre and Museum.
This year, JUFMF proudly introduces the Jacksonville Military & Veteran Performing Arts Awards, honoring U.S. Veterans and Active-Duty Creators whose vision, talent, and storytelling enrich our artistic community. These powerful works echo resilience, service, and the creative voice of our armed forces.
The prestigious Hattie Awards symbolizes excellence, perseverance, and inspiration in all creative genres and focuses on Creators in film, music, art and technology.
Hattie McDaniel’s journey—from being overlooked to breaking barriers and achieving greatness—perfectly embodies the mission of OUMFF. Her legacy of resilience and triumph mirrors the paths of countless actors, directors, musical talents, and creators, inspiring generations to push forward and claim their rightful place in award history.
